Ringlock Scaffolding For The 2026 VAC Music Festival

Large music festivals depend on more than stage design, lighting and sound equipment. Behind the visible performance area, strong temporary structures are needed to support stages, LED screens, lighting systems, control equipment, cameras and viewing platforms.

At the 2026 VAC Music Festival, ringlock scaffolding was used to build several important event structures. Its modular design allowed the system to be adapted to different heights, platform sizes and technical requirements across the festival site.

The 2026 VAC Music Festival was held on April 18-19, 2026, at Chimelong in Hengqin, Zhuhai. The event included three themed stages: the Lotus Stage, Flow Stage and Qin Stage.

Our factory was one of the core suppliers of stage structures, ringlock scaffolding systems and construction services for the event. Our work covered customized design, manufacturing, on-site installation and dismantling.

The Lotus main stage was approximately 36 metres high and 120 metres wide. A project of this size required careful structural planning, reliable materials and experienced installation teams.


Q355B Steel and Reliable Connections

Q355B structural steel ringlock scaffolding was used for important areas of the main and secondary stages, including lighting support and background support structures.

The scaffolding components were hand-welded by experienced workers. Full weld beads and accurately completed connection points helped the components remain dependable during transportation, repeated assembly and dismantling.

The ringlock and wedge-pin connection also made the system efficient to install. Horizontal ledgers and diagonal braces could be connected in different directions around each rosette, forming a stable three-dimensional framework.


Black Baked-Paint Surface

The scaffolding used a professional black baked-paint finish. The coating created a clean, uniform appearance and helped protect the steel against oxidation, wear and fading.

Black scaffolding is especially suitable for concerts and commercial events because the supporting structure blends naturally with stage backgrounds, lighting equipment and LED systems.


FOH Control and Camera Platforms

Ringlock scaffolding was used to construct the front-of-house control platform opposite the main stage. This elevated area provided working space for audio mixing consoles, lighting control, VJ systems and other production equipment.

Two camera platforms were also installed beside the control area. Their elevated positions gave camera operators a clearer view of the performances while keeping technical operations separate from the main audience area.

Because the scaffolding is modular, the height, width, deck area and stair position of these platforms can be adjusted for different event layouts.


VIP Viewing Platform

The same ringlock system was used to create an elevated VIP viewing area. By adjusting the platform height, deck size and access stairs, the structure provided guests with a clear view of the main stage and festival grounds.

This demonstrates how one scaffolding system can meet both technical and commercial requirements at a large event.
