Ringlock Scaffolding For The 2026 VAC Music Festival

Large music festivals depend on more than stage design, lighting, sound equipment, and visual effects. Supporting a Large Music Festival Structure

The 2026 VAC Music Festival was held on April 18-19, 2026, at Chimelong in Hengqin, Zhuhai. The event included three themed stages: the Lotus Stage, Flow Stage, and Qin Stage.

Our factory was one of the core suppliers for the stage structures, ringlock scaffolding systems, and construction services used in the event. The project covered customized design, manufacturing, on-site installation, adjustment, and final dismantling after the festival.

The Lotus main stage was approximately 36 metres high and 120 metres wide. For a structure of this size, the project required careful planning, reliable materials, accurate installation, and experienced on-site teams.

In large music festival projects, different systems often work together. Aluminum truss structures, scaffolding towers, stage platforms, LED support frames, and temporary roof structures must all be arranged according to the final stage design and equipment load.

Q355B Steel Ringlock Scaffolding for Event Support

Q355B structural steel ringlock scaffolding was used for important areas of the main and secondary stages, including lighting support areas, background support structures, technical platforms, and elevated working positions.

For temporary event structures, the material must provide stable load-bearing performance during installation, use, and dismantling. Q355B steel is suitable for this type of heavy-duty event scaffolding because it offers good strength and structural reliability.

The scaffolding components were welded by experienced workers. Full weld beads, accurate connection points, and consistent component dimensions help the system remain dependable during transportation, repeated assembly, and outdoor event use.

The ringlock rosette and wedge-pin connection also make installation more efficient. Horizontal ledgers and diagonal braces can be connected in different directions around each rosette, forming a stable three-dimensional framework for stage and event applications.

Black Baked-Paint Surface for Concert and Festival Use

The scaffolding used a professional black baked-paint finish. The coating gives the structure a clean and uniform appearance while helping protect the steel surface against oxidation, wear, and fading.

For concerts and commercial events, black scaffolding has a practical visual advantage. It blends more naturally with stage backgrounds, lighting equipment, LED screens, and the dark visual environment of live performances.

This makes the supporting structure less distracting while still providing the strength required for technical platforms, equipment support, and temporary event construction.

FOH Control Platform and Camera Platforms

Ringlock scaffolding was used to construct the front-of-house control platform opposite the main stage. This elevated working area provided space for audio mixing consoles, lighting control, VJ systems, communication equipment, and other production devices.

A stable FOH platform is important because it supports both people and technical equipment during the live event. The platform must be strong, level, and positioned at the correct height so the production team can clearly monitor the stage and audience area.

Two camera platforms were also installed beside the control area. Their elevated positions gave camera operators a better view of the performances while keeping shooting positions separate from the main audience area.

Because the system is modular, the height, width, deck area, stair position, and guardrail layout of these platforms can be adjusted according to different event layouts.

VIP Viewing Platform for Large Outdoor Events

The same ringlock scaffolding system was also used to create an elevated VIP viewing area. By adjusting the platform height, deck size, stair access, and guardrail arrangement, the structure provided guests with a clear view of the main stage and festival grounds.

For large events, VIP platforms must consider both viewing experience and structural safety. The platform needs enough space for guests, proper access routes, stable deck support, and secure edge protection.

This shows how one modular scaffolding system can meet different needs within the same festival project, from technical work platforms to audience viewing structures.

Flexible Structures for Different Festival Requirements
