The third Liandao Music Festival was held on June 21–22, 2025, at the Liandao Scenic Area in Lianyungang, Jiangsu. The outdoor production combined a large performance platform, lighting structures and an approximately 120-meter curved visual screen extending across the stage area.
A coastal festival site creates special planning challenges. The stage structure must fit the creative design while the engineering team also considers wind exposure, rain, ground conditions, installation access and the concentrated loads produced by LED, lighting and sound equipment.
Large Curved Stage and Visual Design
The wide curved screen was a defining part of the stage appearance. A screen of this scale requires a supporting structure that follows the intended geometry and maintains consistent connection positions for the display modules.
The LED support, performance platform and lighting positions should be coordinated in the same drawing. This helps prevent conflicts between braces, screen cabinets, rigging points, cable routes and technician access.
Primary Structure and Modular Construction
The project used high-strength steel for the main supporting structure, while modular stage components allowed separate work areas to be assembled in an organized sequence. Prefabricated sections can reduce on-site fabrication and make dimensions easier to control, but every component still needs to match the approved project drawing.
Temporary event structures must include suitable diagonal bracing, connections and foundations. The final design should be checked according to the actual span, height, screen area, equipment weight and site conditions.
Lighting, LED and Technical Installation
After the primary structure is inspected, lighting truss, LED cabinets, audio equipment and scenic elements can be installed in sequence. Aluminum truss is useful for overhead lighting and modular equipment support because sections can be configured for different event layouts.

Coastal Weather and Site Safety
For a coastal outdoor event, the operating plan should include continuous weather monitoring and clearly defined actions for changing conditions. Wind affects not only the structural frame but also LED walls, banners, roof covers and other large surfaces.
Before the venue opens, qualified personnel should inspect foundations, ballast or anchors, connections, braces, platforms, guardrails, access routes and all suspended equipment. Any on-site modification should be reviewed before use.
